Engineering Plus™ (Formally known as Advanced Programming Concepts™), SentryMaster's parent company, was formed in the 1980's to provide high reliability embedded hardware, firmware and software solutions. Since then it has been an active part in the test, elevator and high voltage design markets. In 1995 it came to our attention that there was a need for an accurate and inexpensive way to count people. That same year we introduced our first people counter which we sold through distribution.

We went on to design the first people counter with memory and the first people counter using two IR beams to determine the direction the person was traveling.

SentryMaster™ was formed in 1999 to provide people with direct factory access to our product line. This allows us to provide the highest quality and most flexibility at a lower cost, since we manufacture, build and repair all our own counter modules.

We are always looking for new ways to improve the usability of our product. As an example our newest product CountMaster™ uses one of the industries smallest web Servers to allow a web view of the counter's stored counts. But, we where not satisfied with a web page listing the counts, so we developed an interactive calendar view to represent the counts in a common form that is easy to understand and track.

At SentryMaster™ our main mission has always been to listen to our customers and provide the most requested features in future products, because after all our customers count with us!
